Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to power-line safety, regulations, inspection and site dangers involved in crane operation. Trainees will gain understanding about load charts, rigging and hardware applications. Quizzes and direct feedback throughout the course would assist individuals training solidify their understanding.
Theory course topics: Introduction to crane certification process; safety fundamentals for crane operators; rigging knowledge; crane operation knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane rigging charts; crane maintenance and service and crane set-up and pre-trip inspections.
Practical Programs
The practical training section of the crane training school emphasizes hands-on learning. This portion of the course focuses on the identification and terminology of crane components. Individuals training will have the opportunity to perform skills considered necessary for crane signaling, operating and signaling.
Practical course topics: Learn crane terms; identify crane components and functions; identify wire ropes and rigging; use remote control; pre-use inspection on crane; identify documents and regulations for wire rope and rigging; carry out rigging methods; use radio and hand signals; and perform proper lifting and lowering of loads.
